Dani's Birthday!

Well, this week was a whole lot of the same old same old with going to school, working, and the ever lingering process of trying to legally change my name (apparently it gets to be extra hard for me to switch over all my I.D.'s because I'm from Wisconsin and married that Utah boy IN Utah - the horror!). So if anybody has an extra copy of a drivers study guide from their 15 year old learning how to drive let me know, because luckily I get to take that test! How fun! I mean, I've been driving for 8 years now, 5 1/2 of those years I've lived in Utah, how much should I prioritize studying before going back to the DMV? I guess I just have a fear of those trick questions, purposely designed to trick anyone who didn't take drivers ed from that state. Maybe I'm overreacting....

Anyways, alongside our usual everyday activities the day that stood out this week was my birthday on Friday. First off, thanks to all who called, texted, emailed, snail mailed, snapchatted, wrote on facebook, or otherwise wished me a happy birthday (my family is the greatest between all the parents, siblings, cousins, grandparents and aunts I think I was wished a happy birthday in every possible way shy of morse code and carrier pigeon)! I love you all!

And secondly, let's just all take a moment to remember how wonderful Chris is. Now, I try not to get all mushy and gushy all the time and brag about how I have the most wonderful and perfect husband ever, but the truth is simply that I get all mushy and gushy and want to brag about how I have the most wonderful and perfect husband ever. And he made sure I knew that on my birthday. Not only was I spoiled silly the whole day - I didn't have to do anything myself - but he had planned out an epic surprise date. He had to work in the afternoon but as soon as he was off our adventure started with a delicious Olive Garden dinner. Chris drove us to Idaho - yup, we left the state for my birthday - and we went to Lava Hot Springs. These are the coolest natural hot springs turned swimming pools either of us have ever been to.

Needless to say it was a perfect day and a magical night! I am continually reminded how blessed I am and how loved I am. I really couldn't ask for more.

Our Humble Abode

There's been a few friends and family who've inquired about getting a peek into our humble abode. We sure love where we live, so we decided to just gather up a few candid shots of us at home and put them on here for you. It's nothing fancy, but will give you that wanted glimpse into our daily life in our sweet little place.

Mr. Andrew reads the morning paper, while Mrs. Andrew scrubs the carpet she hasn't cleaned in 4 days.

 Mrs. Andrew spends her afternoon cooking a scrumptious meal for her adoring husband.

 Mr. Andrew comes home from work and finishes off his morning paper.

Mrs. Andrew sweeps the shiny floors as Mr. Andrew, well, uh, he.....you know what he's doing.

Mr. Andrew reads his evening paper while Mrs. Andrew hangs up his shirts that she just finished pressing.

Remember to read and remember to clean,

Mr. & Mrs. Andrew

Since the wedding we....

enjoyed a concert,

went hiking,

took off camping,

slept in our truck,

went climbing,

hiked some more,

did some spelunking,

hiked even more,

found a Christmas tree,

ate the "World's best corndogs" (congratulations!),

celebrated Christmas with a shepherd's dinner,

served in the temple,

went climbing again,

used a bidet (not recommended),

played dress-up,

[Chris] did the annual Sheboygan Polar Bear Plunge (aka swam in frozen-cold-icy Lake Michigan),

practiced our skills on the ice,

helped my dad paint,
spent 6 hours in the Denver airport (we didn't want to remember this one, so there's no picture evidence),

and somehow managed to move into our apartment and began settling in. It's been a whirlwind these last few weeks, but things are finally shaping into a normal schedule (so hopefully that means we can be more consistent with blog updates). Chris has started back on another semester at USU while working at Olive Garden, and I'm still a substitute for the schools around here. Between school, work, and unpacking we've been able to  go on runs, catch up with friends, visit the Brigham City Temple, and finish purchasing the last few items to make our house a home. We love being married, are enjoying every minute, and are looking forward to all the adventures in our future!

Remember to pray and remember to play,

A Peek Into Our Perfect Day!

So, we did it! WE'RE MARRIED!!!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~For Time and ALL Eternity~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~Thanks to all who came and celebrated with us!~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Our #1 fan and personal fridge decorator.

A special thanks to Grandparents Andrew and the Priors for all their dedicated planning and preparation to give us such a wonderful luncheon and beautiful reception. We sure love you guys!

Thanks Emmalee for the more than perfect bouquet.

Also, thanks to our moms and aunts for all the cookies. Everybody needs to know that our friend Mandalee was the genius behind our beautiful cake! We're so blessed by our friends and family.

And of course a giant thanks to the Hazletts! We met at your house, dated while we worked for you, and got engaged on the river. You are family to us and have changed our lives forever. We can never thank you enough. We love you.

Thanks daddy. For raising me right and teaching me what a good man is. I love you.

Remember to pray and remember to play,
Mr. & (Finally)MRS. Andrew

All the photographs used were taken by our friends Amber and Stephenson. They did an amazing job and we couldn't be more pleased (see, we are so blessed by the friends we have). If you ever need professional photos check out their site http://takes2photos.com, they are really fun to work with! The only thing they could have done better is use less shaving cream when doing their part of decorating our truck.....

Just kidding, we still love everything about you guys - your friendship and your work. :-)

ALSO, for those of you not familiar with the LDS (commonly known as Mormon) church we were married in a LDS temple. Here's a video to tell you more about what a temple is, and the importance it has to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  If, after all the time it took you to scroll through our photos you don't have 15 minutes for the video then the part that highlights getting sealed/married in the temple is from 7:21-9:40, although I would recommend making the time for the whole thing.
